Another Time XIX now on view at National Portrait Gallery
Antony Gormley’s Another Time XIX (2013) is now on view as part of the newly reopened National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection.
Speaking on the Another Time series, of which this work is part, Gormley has said: ‘The work asks where the human being sits within the scheme of things. Each work is necessarily isolated, and is an attempt to bear witness to what it is like to be alive, alone in space and time.’
