Lucio Fontana / Antony Gormley Opens At Negozio Olivetti
Opening during the 59th Venice Biennale, Associazione Arte Continua in collaboration with B17, FAI - Fondo Ambient Italiano, Fondazione Lucio Fontana and Galleria Continua present Lucio Fontana / Antony Gormley, an exhibition bringing together the two artists, through a presentation of sculpture, graphic works and works on paper. The exhibition addresses the key themes of space, light and absence found in the work of both sculptors. On display is sculpture by both artists, alongside a selection of drawings made by Fontana between 1946 and 1968 and a series of drawings, workbooks and models that showcase many aspects of Gormley's research. Curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, one of the leading scholars of Fontana, the exhibition will be on display at the historic Negozio Olivetti in Venice, an architecturally renowned space centrally located at Piazza San Marco and designed by Carlo Scarpa.
