Rodin: Exhibition Of The Century
Rodin, L’exposition du Centenaire will be curated by Catherine Chevillot, Director of the Rodin Museum and Antoinette le Normand-Roamin, General Director of the National Institute of Art History. On the occasion of the first centenary of the artist’s death, the exhibition will retrace Rodin’s oeuvre but also explore the multiple repercussions he has had on generations of artists from the end of the 19th century until today. The show will thus include many modern and contemporary artists such as Baselitz, Beckmann, Beuys, Bourdelle, Brancusi, César, Couturier, De Kooning, Dodeigne, Fautrier, Flanagan, Fontana, Giacometti, Gonzalez, Gutfreund, Houseago, Jianguo, Kirkeby, Kolbe, Lehmbruck, Lüpertz, Maillol, Maratka, Marcheschi, Matisse, Mestrovic, Moore, Penck, Picasso, Richier, Rosso, Saint-Marceau, Tucker, Vermeiren, Vigeland and Zadkine.
Antony Gormley will be represented by an early Feeling Material sculpture loaned from private collection and two works on paper.
