The small Lead Blockworks were a way of translating the volumes of the Sajdah position (the third in the Muslim sequence of prayer). Here, the head is placed against the ground and the body is reduced to the minimum space it can occupy. Initially made as connected massive individual blocks, these works went on to inform all of the later STOP works.
