The Museum of Modern Art, New York exhibited the work of 165 artists including Barry Flanagan, Richard Deacon and Howard Hodgkin, in a show that brought together a cross-section of contemporary work. The show explored the diversity of work created between 1975 and 1984. Antony Gormley exhibited the lead and fibreglass work Desert [For Walter] (1983).
