A field of fired clay blocks, Resting Place materialises 244 body-forms as both a labyrinthine terrain and a dense urban landscape. Viewers are invited to negotiate this maze of bodies at rest: prone, splayed, foetal, spaced with just enough room for passage. They evoke a range of situations, from the abandonment of bodies on the beach to the plight of those who have been forcibly displaced by crises of conflict, climate change or resource scarcity.
