Rather than working with volumes that fit within the different parts of the body mass, in the 

, the whole form is made up of interlocking beams that run in all three axes and touch the surface of the volume at both ends.

These works are an evolution of the early 

. They describe the body in terms of the tectonics of post and lintel architecture, and attempt to translate body mass into the equivalent of a high-rise tower.

 are outward-looking – they have a clockwork twist with the head turned 90 degrees from the feet. The challenge going forward will be how to use the maximum differential of beam section and the minimum number of elements to evoke this observing body.
