The skin has pores, is porous and having made lead works that were both hermetic and pierced but that also recognised inner potential or pneuma in the early 2000s, I tried to find ways of manifesting it. First, I had to be moulded in positions that would complement the idea of imminence – or the manifestation of inner potential. Rush is made from a mould taken from me standing hands clenched and head back, lined with wet clay into which thousands of 5 x 18 mm bars were pressed and then welded together.
