American Field (1991) was originally made with the help of the Texca family, brickmakers in the Parish of San Matias, Cholula, Mexico. It was first exhibited at Salvatore Ala Gallery, New York (23 March-27 April 1991) and later toured other venues in the US, Mexico, and Canada.
